The number of nests in the three corrals at Royal Resorts for the 2021 season currently stands at 512 with 60,536 eggs (August 30). We hope that more turtles will come ashore during September to lay their eggs.

To date, security guards have released 9,156 baby turtles and they are ever vigilant, keeping an eye on the nests for telltale signs of hatching and on the weather conditions to keep the precious eggs and baby turtles safe.
