David Sterling, a chef from the United States who lives in Merida has won the Art of Eating prize for Best Food Book of the Year for Yucatan: Recipes from a Culinary Expedition (University of Texas Press).
The founder of Los Dos Cooking School in Merida, Sterling has studied Yucatecan cuisine and culture for many years.
