The main goal of the Festival of Caribbean Culture is to gather all of the Caribbean in one single festival. Several different venues in cities all over Quintana Roo will play host to this festival. Cancun and Playa del Carmen, of course, are on the list. The festival will feature a variety of events such as concerts, dance recitals, culinary shows, art exhibitions and much more.

From December 12 to 15, the island of Cozumel will welcome divers from all over the world for the Scuba Fest, an event that features scuba trips, exhibitions, social events and seminars. This year’s keynote speaker is marine biologist and conservationist Jean-Michel Cousteau. His grandfather Jacques Cousteau brought the breathtaking beauty and diversity of Palancar Reef to a global audience through his documentaries

For the eighth year in a row Playa del Carmen will host the Winter Beach festival which is one of the most important in its kind. Gathering music, fashion, and art, it is traditionally attended by celebrities and enjoyed by many. Three big concerts will be held this year featuring Café Tacvba on December 29, Stephane Pompougnac on January 2nd and a spectacular New Year’s Eve party with Armin Van Buuren on December 31.
