While sea turtle nesting draws to a close in September, the season is very much in swing as eggs are still hatching in the corrals at The Royal Sands and The Royal Caribbean. This means that fall members and guests can witness one of nature’s wonders, baby turtles driven by instinct on a dash down the beach towards the waves.
The 2014 tally of nests to date stands at 193 and there are 22,204 eggs in the corrals. Some 3,773 baby turtles have already been released to begin life at sea.
At Grand Residences there are four nests in the corral and 439 turtles have been set free.
