The Royal Caribbean is now completely closed for renovation and will open in the fall of 2020 as a brand new family resort. With a mix of ocean-view and beachfront rooms, and one and two-bedroom suites, it will offer a variety of dining options, a spa, a kids club, activities and entertainment for all ages.

Additional services now available at The Royal Islander

If you are a member at The Royal Islander and are used to popping over to the Activity Center in The Royal Caribbean, or to order roast chicken from Royal Express or your morning cup of coffee from the Royal Roast Coffee Co., you’ll find that these services have moved to The Royal Islander and are now open for you to enjoy during your next trip.

  • The Activity Center

    Now open on the second floor of the Cayo Largo building from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering fun activities for all ages. If you enjoy eating at Paco’s Tacos, the menu will be available in Cayo Largo for lunch and dinner.

  • Royal Roast Coffee Co.

    Royal Roast Coffee Co. is now open for coffee, sandwiches, pastries and ice cream in the lobby at The Royal Islander.

  • Royal Express food to go counter

    Sharing the Royal Roast Coffee Co. counter, the popular Royal Express food to go service is now open at The Royal Islander with a menu including roast and fried chicken, BBQ ribs, lasagna, meat loaf and more.

  • Shopping

    The Royal Market at The Royal Islander will become a combo store with a new section of beach and resort wear and souvenirs from La Paloma Gift Shop.

  • Spa desk

    There will be a Spa desk in the lobby at The Royal Islander where you will be able to book your appointment for massages, facials and body treatments in The Spa at The Royal Sands.

  • Doctor’s office

    The Doctor’s office has also moved to The Royal Islander and will be in Villa 4470.

In addition, at The Royal Islander there are three restaurant experiences to enjoy: Cayo Largo, international cuisine, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Paco’s Tacos menu at Cayo Largo for tacos and other Mexican dishes and El Conquistador for steaks, seafood, Continental dishes and flambées, open for dinner (closed Saturday).
