The countdown has begun to the biggest sporting event of the year, the 2014 Soccer World Cup and the excitement is rising. From June 12 to July 13, the eyes of the world will be fixed on Brazil. Everyone will become a soccer fan and support their home team, regardless of whether they usually follow “the beautiful game” or not.
Being on vacation doesn’t mean that you have to miss the World Cup! You can watch all the action from Rio and all the other stadiums in the Royal Resorts bars: Sidelines at The Royal Sands, La Cabaña at The Royal Caribbean, the Sports Bar at The Royal Cancun and La Rotonda at The Royal Haciendas. World Cup drinks promos (domestic brands) and a special bar menu are available.
At Grand Residences Riviera Cancun in Puerto Morelos, guests will also be able enjoy the games at Heaven Beach Bar, in the Lobby Bar and the Flor de Canela salon. A World Cup promotion is available for Mexican brands of beer and tasty steak sandwiches and crispy chicken tacos.
Who will emerge victorious in 2014? Will home team Brazil win the Cup again, will Spain defend the title they won in South Africa four years ago or will England put years of disappointment behind them and rise to the occasion? And how will Mexico fare, will they build on their Olympic gold medal success? We wish them good luck.
