For the second year running, the Royal Resorts Foundation provided support for a huge children’s party organized by Mexican charity Dr. Sonrisas in Cancún on May 9.
We thought that you would like to see the happy smiling faces of some of the children who were the guests of honor.
Two hundred and five children from disadvantaged backgrounds or with physical challenges attended the party, which was held at Los Alamos School, also the host for the 2014 party. Four Cancun charities: Huellas de Pan, Manos de Apoyo y Vida, La Escuelita and CRIT, the Center for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation teamed up with Dr. Sonrisas volunteers to offer their little guests an activity-packed morning, full of fun.
The children enjoyed an Avengers show, music, games, a Mexican Fair, sports such as football, a face-painting stall and lunch, and all received toys at the end of the party.
We would like to thank members who joined Royal Resorts staff in donating gifts in our April Toy Drive. If you missed the event and would have liked to contribute a toy, the Royal Resorts Foundation accepts donations of new toys (no guns, war games or battery operated toys), educational material and clothing for children and adults year round.
In other Foundation news, as of April 2015, 2,508,905 pesos had been raised for our charity causes: the fight against cancer, children’s education, conservation and the employee emergency relief fund.
Our partner in the fight against cancer Grupo Desafio de Quintana Roo A.C. was able to fund vital treatment for an eleventh patient thanks to your generous donations to this cause.
