From new menus to theme nights and even new locations like the Sand Dollar, we are working hard to enhance the Royal Resorts dining experience for our members and guests. Accordingly, we would like to share some important information about upcoming restaurant renovations scheduled to take place during the fall. The three locations to receive a makeover are La Veranda and Sidelines Bar at The Royal Sands and the Gran Salon at Hacienda Sisal, all in Cancun.
The renovations will be carried out in phases at all three locations between September 4 and December 11. Specific areas of each restaurant will be cordoned off for work to take place and at no time will the premises be closed to diners.
The bulk of major construction or demolition work that could be noisy at times (floors, partitions, ceilings, etc.) has been scheduled for Week 35 and during Maintenance Week at The Royal Sands (Week 40, October 7-14). However, there may be some noise for short periods at other times. Every effort will be made to keep the inconvenience to diners and members and guests at The Royal Sands to a minimum during renovations.
With construction completed in September and October, the renovation crew will turn their attention to detail work, décor and furniture in November before unveiling the crisp new look restaurants on December 11.
What is being done?
La Veranda, The Royal Sands
A new ceiling, ceramic floor tiles, new lighting and artwork, white décor with accents of wood and pale green will give La Veranda a bright, contemporary look.
Furniture will be reupholstered and the seating plan will be a mix of independent tables and booths. The buffet area, main entrance and outdoor terrace will also be renovated.
Again, the work will take place in phases and the show kitchen and grill, the back wall and the main entrance will be the first areas to be cordoned off. During this time access to the restaurant will be via the pool deck door.
Diners can also look forward to tempting new dishes on the menu in addition to their favorite choices when work is complete on December 11.
Sidelines Bar
Sidelines Sports Bar will also be remodeled in a modern industrial design. The kitchen will be expanded for speedier and more efficient food delivery. There will be a separate games area and a private lounge will be added for meetings, classes and other activities.
Week 35 members and guests staying on floors immediately above La Veranda and Sidelines will be relocated
We want all our members and guests to have a relaxing and enjoyable fall vacation at The Royal Sands while the renovations are being carried out.
Arrangements are being made to relocate Week 35 members and guests who are due to stay in a unit directly above La Veranda or Sidelines during this time and they will be assigned a different unit in the resort. This may also occur in other weeks when the possibility of noise disruption is greater due to the nature of the work being carried out. The Guest Services team will contact members and guests prior to their vacation if a different unit assignment is needed.
Gran Salon at Hacienda Sisal
The Gran Salon at Hacienda Sisal will be modernized with a new color scheme, new furniture and lighting to turn it into a contemporary venue for hosting events such as weddings, parties and convention dinners. The maximum capacity is 250 people seated on main floor and the upper tiers. This renovation is taking place in the inner courtyard bar where the stage is, not in the restaurant.
Hacienda Sisal Restaurant will be open daily as usual, 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
