The sounds of mellow music are filling the air in Playa del Carmen this week as some great musicians are in town for the annual Riviera Maya Jazz festival, now in its seventh year. The impressive cast of performers includes Grammy winners Kenny Garrett, Chick Corea, Take 6 and the Pat Metheny Unity Group, and five-time Latin Grammy nominee Jorge Vercillo from Brazil.
Whether you like traditional or contemporary jazz, crooner classics, jazz funk, rhythm and blues or bossa nova, you are in for a musical treat. Don’t miss the concerts at Playa Mamitas in Playa del Carmen tonight, Friday and Saturday, November 27, 28 and 29. Admission is free and the music starts at 7 p.m.
