A national women’s strike will take place in Mexico on Monday, March 9, 2020 in protest at the rise in femicides, gender-based violence and inequality in the country.
The “Un Día Sin Nosotras” or A Day Without Women national strike comes after incidents of violence against women shocked and angered the nation. Mexicans are demanding a more effective government response and decisive action to eradicate crimes against women.
Universities, politicians, government workers and companies throughout the country are supporting the cause and women from all walks of life are expected to join the strike. It is likely that many of our staff will decide to take part and that some of our services may be affected that day.
Royal Resorts respects the right of women in the company to protest and supports the cause. For the wellbeing of our guests and in order to minimize the impact on services, a contingency plan will be implemented. However, there will be no maid service on the day of the strike.
Royal Resorts appreciates your support and understanding.
