Calling all music lovers, the Cancun International Music Festival takes place from October 18 to 26 with concerts in multiple locations, including the Gran Salon Hacienda Sisal.
On October 21 the festival pays homage to Agustín Lara, the Mexican composer from Veracruz who wrote famous songs like Granada, Veracruz and Maria Bonita, a serenade for Mexican actress Maria Felix. The “Gala Agustin Lara para Siempre” concert features the voice of Donaji Herrera.
October 22 the concert is “Gala de Maderas, Encuentro de Flautas,” bringing together the talents of three flutists with piano and violin accompaniment.
Both concerts are at 8 p.m. and tickets cost $250 pesos with the proceeds going to charity: Cultura, Arte, Música e Inclusión.
