La Palapa Restaurant at The Royal Mayan opened on schedule on October 8 after repairs.
Work carried out in September included:
• New thatched roof for the palapa and the application of a fire retardant product
• The wooden palapa structure was varnished
• Drainpipes were installed
• Electrical wiring was upgraded throughout La Palapa in accordance with new electricity standards
More Enhancements to Follow
This is the first phase in a project to renovate La Palapa Restaurant. Our chefs are also working on a new menu for the winter season featuring your traditional favorites and a selection of different dishes.
