July 20-27

A visit to Isla Mujeres is always fun but even more so the week July 20-27 when the islanders pay homage to their largest visitors, the gentle whale sharks that gather to feast on plankton in the deep waters to the east of Isla Mujeres and Contoy and further north off Holbox and Cabo Catoche. Organized by Isla Mujeres Municipal Government, Ceviche Tours, NGO Amigos de Contoy and the Blue Realm Whale Shark Research Group, the event features a parade, music and dance, art and photo exhibitions, seminars on whale shark studies and of course you can hop on a boat out to the whale shark grounds.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
