Due to the popularity of All-Inclusive vacations in the Mexican Caribbean, the implementation of the REFINE package has brought greater rental opportunities for member units at The Royal Cancun, The Royal Sands and The Royal Haciendas. In 2014, the percentage of Member units rented through the Reservations Center at the three resorts stood at 73 percent. In 2015, it has risen to 87 percent overall (weeks 1 to 12).
In fact, the demand for rental units is such that Reservations Center representatives frequently call members to see whether they are planning to vacation in their unit and if they are not, they recommend the rental program as an option. For certain weeks with the greatest demand, the Reservations Center offers members who are unable to travel a special prepaid rental rate for their unit.
If circumstances force you to cancel your annual vacation plans, placing your unit in the Member Rental Program is now an even more attractive option thanks to the REFINE All-Inclusive package.
Rental demand is also buoyant for The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander, as there is still a sector of the market in search of European Plan (room only) properties.
