Our family has vacationed in Cancun for 30 years with the Royal Resorts. Now we have added Playa del Carmen to our regular schedule. We just returned from our stay at the Royal Mayan. I wanted to thank you for having medical personnel on site. I had an infection that needed an antibiotic and was unsure how I was going to travel home. Unable to speak Spanish was causing me some concerns if I had to travel to a hospital. But your on-site doctor resolved my issues and I was ready for travel the next morning. I will make sure I provide Interval International with this information.

We had the best vacation EVER last week at The Royal Mayan. What a wonderfully clean, friendly, beautiful place to spend a week. We normally never eat at the same place twice, but the food and service at La Palapa was too good (and too reasonable) to bother to go elsewhere, so we only ate two or three meals away. The entire staff at The Royal Mayan was wonderful, we never got tired of looking at the turquoise water, our beds were sooo comfortable, and the view from our (spotless) villa was just gorgeous. Thank you all so much. We will be back for sure.

Just a quick note to say thank you for a wonderful meal at Los Murales. Our guests for the week (foodies to the core!) were so impressed with the flavors, quality and presentation of the meal. The 5-Spice Mousse I had for dessert was the perfect grace note to my dinner. We also appreciated the tour of the kitchen and love the open kitchen idea you maintain. The service is outstanding. Friendly but not “in your face”. Also, very efficient. Appreciated that you were so gracious about our
guest’s wine. What can I say but, “We’ll be back!” Oh, yes, and keep up the wonderful job by all your staff.

Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for Royal Resorts
The Royal Haciendas and The Royal Cancun-Club Internacional de Cancun recently received a vote of approval from Trip Advisor members. Thanks to positive feedback from guests, our Riviera Maya resort gained a Trip Advisor rating of 4.5 and The Royal Cancun one of 4 during 2010 and both were awarded a Certificate of Excellence for the year.
This is not the first time The Royal Cancun has received accolades from Trip Advisor. Together with The Royal Sands it was featured in the Travelers’ Choice listing of the world’s top 80 family resorts for 2009 and both were among the top ten family vacation spots for Mexico and the Caribbean.
