Christmas Eve Dining
Mexicans traditionally gather for their family Christmas meal on Christmas Eve or Nochebuena, and our restaurants are offering a tempting spread of seasonal dishes. La Veranda at The Royal Sands, La Palapa at The Royal Cancun and La Palapa del Sol at The Royal Haciendas in the Riviera Maya will have buffets laden with an array of delectable choices ranging from roast turkey and beef to heavenly desserts. Service is from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in La Palapa, 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in La Veranda and from 5 p.m. at La Palapa del Sol in our Riviera Maya resort.
For other Cancun dining options, try the Christmas Eve dinner special at Hacienda Sisal, which features roast turkey or surf or turf with tender beef fillet and marinated pastor-style shrimp. If you are in the mood for something different, sup on fresh seafood at Captain’s Cove or choose Italian cuisine in La Trattoria at The Royal Cancun. A la carte menus are available in Tradewinds at The Royal Caribbean and Cayo Largo at The Royal Islander.
Christmas Day Menu Specials and Buffets
For Christmas Day dining, tuck into a sumptuous festive buffet with roast turkey and all the trimmings in La Veranda at The Royal Sands, La Palapa at The Royal Cancun and Tradewinds at The Royal Caribbean from 5 p.m. For something different, El Conquistador at The Royal Islander is offering a Christmas Day dinner with live guitar music from Jorge Duran and this popular restaurant now has new opening hours of 6 to 11 p.m.. You also have a second chance to try the Christmas menu special at Hacienda Sisal. For those who may have already had their fill of roast turkey, however unlikely, the La Trattoria Christmas Day menu special features a delightful salmon recipe and other tempting dishes, all with an Italian twist, from 6 to 11 p.m.
Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Royal Style
Ring in the New Year in style with a mouthwatering buffet in Captain’s Cove, Cancun’s favorite seafood restaurant on the shores of the lagoon. Other dining options include a delicious New Year’s Eve dinner in Hacienda Sisal next to The Royal Sands or El Conquistador at The Royal Islander. There are New Year’s Eve buffets in store for revelers at La Veranda in The Royal Sands and La Palapa at The Royal Cancun. And if you are staying at The Royal Haciendas, the New Year’s Eve dinner at La Palapa del Sol has a Casino night theme. A la carte menus are available in Los Murales at The Royal Haciendas and in the other restaurants at the Royal Resorts in Cancun.

Grand Dining at Grand Residences
If you have checked into Grand Residences for the Christmas or New Year holidays, award-winning French chef Yann Cozic is cooking up a gourmet experience for you. Dine at El Faro Grill with family and friends on Christmas Eve and savor the special Christmas Dinner menu. Return on Christmas Day for the exquisite El Faro brunch. Breakfast dishes will be served from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. if you want to head straight for the beach. For a more leisurely lunch, try the hearty spread of prime rib, lobster, roast turkey, pork loin and more available from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
On December 31, El Faro Grill will be decked out for a New Year’s Eve Dinner and Party. The festivities include a mariachi serenade, DJ, music for dancing and a cotillion per person. Finally, guests can start 2017 with a delicious New Year’s Day brunch. Grand Residences guests can make reservations for these events with the concierges or at El Faro Grill (Prepaid reservations only).
