The delicious taste of the Caribbean, the smell of grilled lobster on the terrace, Friday night is Lobster Night at Captain’s Cove, one of Cancun’s top seafood restaurants.
Take your seat on the waterfront deck for a glorious Cancun sunset as you sip a margarita, a passion fruit mojito or one of the Captain’s Cove signature martinis. Order a selection of tasty seafood starters to whet your appetite. How about a plate of tuna or salmon carpaccio for sharing, crispy Captain’s shrimp with a spicy dipping sauce, pescadillas, seafood tacos or ceviche, all local favorites?
As darkness falls, the moon rises and the candles flicker, you’ll be ready for your main course. Choose your lobster, the waiter will weigh it and then grill it to perfection on the deck. You can order it with garlic butter or your choice of sauce.
Order a bottle of wine from the cellar or a cold beer and enjoy the succulent fresh flavor of your lobster as you gaze out over the lagoon and the Hotel Zone. Keep a look out for the crocodiles that patrol the shoreline hunting for scraps of food.
Try the tropical mango cheesecake for dessert and a flaming Mayan coffee with Xtabentun, a liqueur made from a native herb, honey and a touch of anise in Valladolid, Yucatan.
The Captain’s Cove Lobster Night promotion includes soup and salad and the lobster is charged by the ounce. Drinks and dessert are not included.
Captain’s Cove also has a very popular Prime Rib Night on Saturday, so popular that it is repeated on Wednesday, and don’t miss the Sunday Brunch. Pop in for a casual seafood lunch and dine on the catch of the day, shrimp and other seafood delights during the week.
Captain’s Cove is located on the shores of the lagoon opposite Cancun Maya Museum and is open daily for lunch and dinner.
