Athletes from Cancun and the Riviera Maya, other parts of Mexico and all over the world are gathering for the Cancun Marathon on December 5.
Now in its 31st year, the Cancun Marathon attracts amateur and professional athletes for the full Marathon (42 kilometers), Half Marathon (21 kilometers) and a 5 kilometer Fun Run.
The starting line for all races is at Malecon Tajamar on the shores of the lagoon in Downtown Cancun. The course for the Marathon takes runners along Bonampak Avenue and through the Hotel Zone to El Mirador at Playa Delfines and back again to Malecon Tajamar.
A number of Royal Resorts employees, members and guests are competing in this important sporting event. We wish them all the best and good luck as they take up this challenge.
Traveling from The Royal Haciendas to Cancun for the Race?
Terry Rasmussen, one of the Royal Resorts members competing is traveling from The Royal Haciendas to the Cancun Marathon on Thursday, December 3 for the Race Expo and from The Royal Haciendas to The Royal Cancun on the day of the race and would be interested in sharing transport costs with fellow athletes.
