Road works on Highway 307 between Cancun and Playa del Carmen
Road works are underway on Highway 307 between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Repairs and resurfacing are being carried out during the day, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., subject to equipment, asphalt production and the weather.
The work is causing traffic disruption, especially at peak travel times, and possible delays of between one and three hours from Playa del Carmen to Cancun. If you have booked your airport transportation with Thomas More Travel, the recommendation is to depart one hour earlier than planned if you are staying at The Royal Haciendas. Guests at the Cancun resorts should allow an extra 30 minutes to the airport.
Members and guests who have booked the round trip airport transportation service are requested to visit the Thomas More Travel desk at their resort the day after arrival to schedule the van pickup time for their departure day.
If you have any questions during your stay, please contact Thomas More Travel, ext. 175.
