Here’s the latest Royal Resorts dining news from Cancun.

Lobster Night at Captain’s Cove, now with live music
Grilled Caribbean lobster, a glorious sunset on the deck and the smooth sound of saxophone music, it is Friday at Captain’s Cove. Don’t miss this unforgettable dining moment. It was popular before but with the addition of live music we think you will love it even more. Our talented musician performs from 6 to 9 p.m.
A Cancun classic, Captain’s Cove is located on the shores of the lagoon opposite de Maya Museum in the Hotel Zone.

Seafood creations at The Royal Cancun
If you want your fresh seafood with a stunning sea view, La Palapa at The Royal Cancun is the spot. Laidback and tropical, our oldest restaurant overlooks a palm-lined beach, the turquoise waters of the bay and Isla Mujeres in the distance. Order ceviche or shrimp tacos for a Mexican Caribbean lunch and for an open-air evening meal choose your favorite shrimp dish from the menu, the choices are crispy coconut shrimp, served in a tamarind or pasilla chili sauce, breaded or sautéed in garlic butter. Try the chef’s latest creation, the fried octopus ceviche; it’s delicious.

Mexicans and Italians know a thing or two about preparing the freshest seafood with vibrant ingredients and dinner in La Trattoria at The Royal Cancun is a veritable celebration of frutti di mare.

For starters why not order salmon or octopus carpaccio, calamari or mussels in white wine to share? Then choose your favorite pasta and sauce with grilled shrimp or fish fillet.

For your main course, the La Trattoria menu includes traditional seafood dishes such as seafood or octopus and chili risotto, scampi shrimp and picatta fish with lemon sauce. For the full on seafood experience try the Alla Scoglio, spaghetti with all the bounty of the sea: clams, shrimp, octopus, calamari, mussels and scallops sautéed in white wine with cherry tomatoes.

If you have a craving for pizza order a Mexican-Italian fusion recipe, Pizza Holbox lobster and four-cheese pizza. This is a traditional dish served on the island of Holbox with locally caught lobster, it is delicious.
