We have received questions about Captain’s Cove and El Conquistador restaurants and we would like to share that they will be open as normal until July 14, 2023. For members who are vacationing with us now or in the coming weeks there is still time to enjoy waterfront dining, sunsets and fresh seafood at Captain’s Cove and showstopper continental cuisine, live music and sterling service at El Conquistador. 

It is the end of an era for these two restaurants, but good things only get better, and we are working on a variety of new dining experiences at The Royal Sands to give you more delicious dishes and live entertainment to enjoy. We realize that many of our members love Captain’s Cove and El Conquistador and the legacy of these two Cancun classics will endure. One of the resort’s new dining options will feature a selection of favorite dishes from both restaurants. Jorge Duran, our resident guitarist at El Conquistador for more than 30 years, will also continue to delight diners with his music in different Royal Resorts venues.
