We are thrilled to be open at The Royal Sands, The Royal Islander and The Royal Haciendas once more. We welcomed our first members and guests back on June 13 in true Mexican style, and we are counting the days to the reopening of The Royal Cancun on June 20 and Grand Residences on July 4. We can’t wait to see all our members and guests
What are you looking forward to the most? Is it the cool white sand and turquoise waters, seeing your favorite Royal Resorts employees or the moment you open the door to your villa, your home away from home, and think “I’m back?” Perhaps it’s all of them, mixed with leisurely pool days under the sun, taking in the view on your terrace or sitting down to a plate of shrimp tacos on the beach. Whatever your favorites are, we look forward to seeing you again and helping you and your family create even more magical vacation moments in the Mexican Caribbean.
We have lined up new dining experiences and activities for you to enjoy during your stay, many of them outdoors so that you can enjoy our spectacular views, the sound of the waves and the soft breeze.
Your villa gives you plenty of space to unwind and move about without feeling confined as you would in a hotel room. You can order in from our expanded Room Service or Royal Express menu for a family meal, relax in your living room with a movie and enjoy alfresco living on your private terrace.
We have been working to prepare for your return with a new level of hygiene and care called the Royal Care Standard. This wide-reaching program encompasses additional health and safety protocols throughout the resorts, in guest areas, rooms, our restaurants, bars and convenience stores; in the activity center and kids clubs, the gyms and spas; on the pool deck and beach and back of the house in offices and employee areas. They include social distancing, busy areas and frequently touched surfaces being cleaned repeatedly during the day, the use of EPA-approved products and electrostatic sprays and additional hygiene steps in the room cleaning regime. Watch our video and visit royalcarestandard.com for more information.

The Royal Sands receives Clean and Safe Check certificate

The Royal Sands is the first of our resorts to receive the Clean and Safe Check certificate from the Quintana Roo State Tourism Board and Department of Health. The certification process is underway for the other resorts.
This official certificate also has the Safe Travels seal of approval from the World Travel & Tourism Council.

What’s new at Royal Resorts?

First up for members and guests arriving at The Royal Haciendas is our new Asian restaurant Kinoko, which opened on June 15. Serving a tempting selection of Japanese, Chinese and Thai dishes, including sushi and Teppanyaki, add it to your dining list for your next trip. Reservations are required for the Teppanyaki and Shabu-shabu dining experience.
In other news, The Royal Islander has a new Activity Center and Kids Club. The former shuttle bus station site has been transformed and the new facility is already proving very popular. It also has a terrace for outdoor activities.

If you are unable to travel at this time, check the COVID-19 update for your options.
