According to the National Statistics Institute (INEGI), the Mexican economy grew by 4.6 percent (GDP) during the first quarter of 2012. Industrial production, agriculture and services all contributed to this increase. A recent report from the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation estimated that the annual growth rate for Mexico in 2012 will be in the region of 3.6 percent.
