The Royal Islander closes
It is the end of an era, The Royal Islander closed its doors on July 15. This secluded family resort holds a special place in the hearts of many a Royal Resorts member. For some it’s where they watched their children take their first steps on a Caribbean beach or learned how to swim in the pools. For others, it’s a place to celebrate the lasting friendships they made with fellow vacationers and with the team members who welcomed them every year and looked after them during their vacation, their Cancun friends and family.
Glorious Caribbean sunrises, poolside catch ups and fun time with the Activities team, fishing on the beach, a panoramic view of the sunset across Nichupte Lagoon, special dining moments, family celebrations, watching a turtle nest on the sand as the moon comes up over the Caribbean, it’s been a wonderful 30 years, full of precious memories.
We hope to welcome The Royal Islander members to our other resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya for more unforgettable vacation moments.
The Royal Islander members will receive an update on the resort when new information is available.
