Royal Uno Welcomes its First Guests

On June 28, Royal Uno® All Inclusive Resort & Spa welcomed its first guests with a day of activities, cocktails, a Mexican dinner and show and a mariachi serenade.

The first arrivals were greeted by General Manager Efraín Canto and the Royal Uno team and invited to cut the ribbon declaring the resort officially open. They then watched a show performed by the activity team, followed by the mariachi who took center stage with a rousing chorus of Cielito Lindo joined in by all, a champagne toast and a presentation.

Activities during the day for arriving guests included water polo, a cooking class to unlock the secrets of a good paella, mixology in the Star Bar and a merengue dance class on the show deck.

In the evening, the deck was transformed with all the color and joy of Mexico with a dance show, music, delicious traditional cuisine and mariachi. There was a parade of colorful giant alebrijes on stilts, the fantastical creatures of Mexican folk art that are said to have originated in a dream. Under a star-filled sky and with the sound of the waves in the background, it really was “welcome to Royal Uno, welcome to Cancun, welcome to Mexico.”

Exceptional vacation experiences

Royal Uno offers guests a taste of Authentic Cancun, delectable dining experiences and unforgettable vacation moments in a beautiful beach setting.

In restful colors that evoke the soft hues of the underwater world, its 540 ocean-view rooms and suites have every comfort for a relaxing stay. Accents of tile, stone and wood pay tribute to the heritage of the Yucatan and a hammock on the terrace is the perfect spot to slip into the vacation vibe and start enjoying the slower pace of the Mexican Caribbean.

Larger suites with a comfy living and dining area and ample terrace are perfect for a family vacation and for an extra touch of luxury, some ground floor beachfront suites have a whirlpool or larger plunge pool on the terrace.

Endless activities and entertainment

Beyond the beach and the pools, a world of fun awaits guests at Royal Uno with activities and entertainment for all ages. From greeting the sun and the four directions during a yoga session to stretching, aqua aerobics and Zumba, there are fitness classes to start the day. Games of pool volleyball, water polo or basketball, music and movie quizzes, crafts and fun contests follow. Guests can fine-tune their kitchen skills, discover new recipes and get chef’s tips with a cooking class. A mixology class in Star Bar gives them a glimpse of how Royal Uno’s signature cocktails are made, and salsa and merengue classes are a fun way to learn sizzling new dance steps.

The youngest Royal Uno guests will love Uno Kids and their own pool and water slides. There is a fun-packed activity program in store for them with something different every day. With video games, movies, foosball, ping-pong and more, Cancool Family Room is the place for families to spend time together and create more vacation memories.

Guests will be able to see what’s happening and where and plan their daily activity schedule with the Royal Uno app.
