Here’s the latest Royal Resorts dining news for you straight from the chef’s kitchen with more tempting dishes and theme nights for you to look forward to on your 2020 vacation in Cancun or the Riviera Maya.
• Paco’s Tacos is back at The Royal Islander
Paco’s Tacos, the popular taco restaurant is back at The Royal Islander! Order your favorite tacos for dinner or choose from the tasty selection of quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos, tortas, chimichangas and fajitas.
Paco’s Tacos is currently open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you crave tacos for lunch you can also order your favorites from the Paco’s Tacos menu in Cayo Largo. Ask your waiter.
• Taco Night on Sundays at Cayo Largo
Sunday night at Cayo Largo restaurant is Taco Night. All-you-can-eat beef, chicken, pork and chorizo tacos. The buffet also includes tacos dorados, burritos, quesadillas, rice, beans and salsas. Soup or salad included. From 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Steak Night at Captain’s Cove
Choose your favorite cut of prime beef from the display and the chef will grill it to perfection. The choice includes T-bone, Rib-eye and Cowboy steaks and the price of your steak is determined by its weight. This dinner special includes leek and potato soup and salad bar. From 5:30 to 9 p.m.
• Lobster Night at Captain’s Cove
Friday night is Lobster Night at Captain’s Cove. Enjoy fresh lobster grilled to perfection on the terrace. Lobster is charged by the weight and the promotion includes soup and salad. Dessert and drinks are not included. From 5:30 – 9 p.m.
• Seafood Friday at Hacienda Sisal
Hacienda Sisal has a new seafood lunch buffet on Fridays. The selection of dishes includes shrimp and fish ceviche, Baja-style shrimp tacos, chilpachole or crab broth, seafood rice and fried fish turnovers or pescadillas. Fruit-flavored waters and desserts are included in the price and there is a 2×1 promotion on domestic drinks. Lunch is served from 1 to 4 p.m.
Royal Resorts ice cream
The Royal Resorts Commissary bakery already supplies our restaurants and resort stores with fresh bread, pastries and cakes and now Royal Resorts Executive Chef Juan Carlos Orozco is offering a tempting new product: ice cream.
Made with seasonal fruit and all-time favorites such as strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, the delicious new collection includes lime, orange, tangerine, coconut and blackberry cheesecake flavors.
Chef Orozco decided to make his own ice cream to offer a fresher, better quality product in the restaurants than commercial brands. So next time you dine at a Royal Resorts restaurant, why not order an ice cream? Ask your waiter about the flavors available.
Dining at The Royal Haciendas
Here’s the latest Royal Resorts dining news from our Riviera Maya resort.
• New Asian restaurant opening this spring
Opening at the end of March and serving a tempting selection of dishes from Japan, China, Thailand, Korea and Vietnam, the new Asian restaurant will be located in the lobby opposite La Rotonda. It will have two teppanyaki tables and a small show kitchen area where diners can watch chefs at work preparing sushi, stir-fries and other mouthwatering recipes.
The name of the new restaurant is being chosen from options submitted by staff at the resort.
A new face at The Royal Haciendas
Meet Pablo Chuc, the new Restaurant Manager at The Royal Haciendas, a longtime member of the Royal Resorts family and a familiar face to many members who also own at The Royal Sands or The Royal Islander.
Pablo joined Royal Resorts in 1993 and his first job was at The Royal Mayan, followed by The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander where he was the Cayo Largo Manager for four years. In 2006, he moved to The Royal Sands as Restaurant Manager and this career move to our Riviera Maya resort is another promotion for him. Pablo rejoins Chef Erika Barrios who was also at The Royal Sands. They are a great team and we are sure that they have plans for many tempting dining options for members and guests to enjoy.
• New Taco Station in Phase 2
The taco station in Phase 2 at The Royal Haciendas is another new dining option that is proving very popular with members and guests. The grill is set up every day (weather permitting) under one of the pergolas formerly used for hammocks on the Phase 2 sun deck. Order your favorite shrimp, beef or chicken tacos.
