Tropical Storm Zeta is currently 300 mi/480 km southeast of Cozumel. Given its location and forecast track, the Mexican Government has issued a Hurricane Warning for the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, from Tulum to Rio Lagartos. This area includes Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Holbox.
The storm is expected to be a Category 1 hurricane when it approaches the Quintana Roo coast on Monday night.
Royal Resorts is monitoring the storm and has activated its Hurricane Contingency Plan. Due to its forecast category, evacuation will not be necessary, however we are implementing our shelter protocols at the resorts to keep guests safe.
There is no cause for alarm but guests staying with us should remain at their resort on Monday as weather conditions will deteriorate during the day. They should not venture on to the beach or streets.

Further updates and instructions will be published as necessary.
