Planning a Cancun trip to The Royal Islander soon? Here’s the latest dining news straight from the Cayo Largo kitchen. There is a new lunchtime special for you to enjoy on the Cayo Largo terrace on Fridays. Friday is now Paella Day.

Friday is Paella Day at The Royal Islander
From 11:30 a.m. every Friday the Cayo Largo chefs will be preparing Seafood Paella on the terrace for lunch. Don’t miss this classic Spanish recipe, paella is perfect for an open-air lunch with views of the Caribbean. It is so delicious that we recommend that you get there early before it runs out!

Have you tried the Smoke BBQ lunch special on Monday at Cayo Largo or the evening specials and theme nights during the week available alongside the a la carte menu? The line up is:
• Saturday Fajita Night
• Sunday Taco Night
• Monday Pasta & Seafood Night
• Tuesday BBQ Night
• Wednesday Pasta & Pizza Night
• Thursday Pasta & Seafood Night
• Friday Shrimp Festival, Pasta & Seafood Bar
All these evening specials include salad bar and soup. Some also include dessert. Information is subject to change so check the Welcome Home guide upon arrival.

El Conquistador now open from 5:30 p.m.
In other The Royal Islander dining news, from February 9, El Conquistador Restaurant will now open earlier at 5:30 p.m. and will close at 11 p.m. For families with children under the age of eight, there are early bird sittings at 5:30, 6 and 6:30 p.m.
An a la carte menu full of tempting dishes, prime steaks and fresh seafood, sterling service and live guitar music performed by Jorge Duran make El Conquistador a fine dining experience not to be missed. Reservations required.

For taco fans, Paco’s Tacos is the spot
Paco’s Tacos is open in the evening for tacos, quesadillas, queso fundido, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, tortas, guacamole and much more. Open until 10 p.m.
