Guitar maestro John McLaughlin, John Hemming and pianist Chick Corea are three of the stars returning for the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2017, November 30 – December 2. John McLaughlin will pay tribute to the legendary Spanish guitar player and longtime friend Paco de Lucia who lived in Playa del Carmen for many years and died in 2014.
The Riviera Maya Jazz Festival 2017 line up is expected to feature musicians and groups from previous years who will pay their own tribute to Fernando Toussaint, the Mexican jazz musician and Playa resident who founded the event and who passed away in 2016.
The Riviera Maya Jazz Festival takes place, November 30 to December 2 at Playa Mamitas in Playa del Carmen. Free admission.
