Captain’s Cove
For fresh seafood and a captivating lagoonside setting, Captain’s Cove is the place. Dine on Caribbean lobster, shrimp, locally caught fish and other showstopper dishes and enjoy an evening that begins with the Cancun sunset and ends with Caribbean moonlight and stars.
For starters, try the pescadillas or crispy fried fish turnovers, golden-fried calamari, ceviche and carpaccios. Other choices include mussels in white wine, tasty arancini rice balls, paté and a mini burger trilogy. Clam chowder and a hearty seafood soup are popular and there are salads too.
Order the Caribbean lobster grilled or in a creamy pasta sauce or risotto. The Caribbean coconut shrimp is an all-time favorite. The whole fried fish with rice, pickled red onion, salsa and tortillas is the perfect Mexican Caribbean-style dish or try the Mediterranean-style baked whole fish and the almond-crusted snapper. You can also have the catch of the day or shrimp cooked to order and served with different sauces. Other dishes include lobster enchiladas, seared tuna, Atlantic salmon and a seafood casserole for two. There’s plenty to choose from and prime steaks too for meat lovers.
During the week, don’t miss Steak Night on Tuesdays with live music, Prime Rib Night on Wednesday and Saturday, Lobster Night on Friday with live saxophone music and Sunday brunch. Captain’s Cove is open daily from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and is located opposite the Cancun Maya Museum.
