Royal Uno news
We have some important information to share about Royal Uno® All Inclusive Resort & Spa, our latest resort. Due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on supply chains, we have been forced to push back the opening until February 28, 2022.
In a project of this size, we work with a variety of suppliers in every sector, from construction to furnishings, tableware, technology and more. Many of these companies are reporting delivery delays, affecting our timeline. We do expect the situation to improve in the coming months, and we are on target to complete the resort and all guest amenities by the end of next February.
This means that our first guests will enjoy the full Royal Uno gourmet experience from day one, with all five restaurants to choose from: Os (International), Palotinte (Mexican cuisine), Miamare (Italian), Aora (Asian) and the Poolside Grill. In addition, there will be four bars, including Kukulcantina Sports Bar, which offers a gastropub menu, and the Star Bar for cool canapes and cocktails; Faro 32 coffee shop, theme nights and a variety of other options for unforgettable dining moments.
The brand-new Alea® Spa will also be open, offering massages and a variety of facials and body wraps from some of the world’s leading skincare companies. A guided hydrotherapy circuit with immersion and sensory pools, the Royal Uno gym, yoga sessions and a beauty salon complete the Royal Uno wellness experience.
Our first guests will have a world of activities to choose from, with something for everyone in the family in a variety of locations, including the pool deck and beach, Alea Spa, Cancool Family Room and Uno Kids. The fun will continue in the evening with parties, DJ nights, karaoke and live music. The activity and entertainment programs are in the final stages of the planning process, and we are sure that our guests will enjoy everything we have in store for them.
Although supply issues may be affecting some areas of the Royal Uno project, we are advancing in others. Recruitment is in progress, and we have hired our General Manager to head up the Royal Uno team. Efrain Canto has years of experience in the international hospitality industry. He has managed large hotels, luxury all-inclusive brands, and opened new properties. He also has a longstanding connection to Royal Resorts, as he was the Food & Beverage Manager at The Royal Haciendas and we are delighted to welcome him back to our family. Further appointments of key personnel will be made in the next couple of months.
For members and guests who had already made arrangements to stay at Royal Uno in the period from December 16, 2021 and to February 28, 2022, we are contacting them shortly with options.
