Fine dining, music and art: the perfect combination, an evening at Los Murales
Prime steaks and fresh seafood cooked to perfection with a hint of spices from the Far East and the Caribbean, live music and art, enjoy an evening of fine dining in Los Murales at The Royal Haciendas. It will be one of the unforgettable moments of your Riviera Maya vacation.
The Royal Haciendas Executive Chef Erika Barrios has created a tempting menu for members and guests to enjoy, a mix of longtime Los Murales favorites and new dishes, intriguing flavor pairings to delight the palate, all presented with incredible artistry.
To begin your meal, choose from a selection of starters including avocado filled with salmon and served with pink guava dressing or with shrimp salad and red wine dressing, a tasty vegan phyllo pastry quiche with tofu, spinach and mushroom cannelloni in white wine sauce or Galician-style octopus.
The creamy lobster bisque is a Los Murales classic, and the hearty clam chowder is served in a homemade loaf. Salad choices include a citrus salad with goat cheese dressing, kale and roast wild mushrooms and apple, nut and Roquefort salad.
For the pasta course, choose from homemade pappardelle and beef sauce with a hint of truffle, fresh salmon ravioli and fettuccine and langostinos with mushrooms and white wine sauce.
A Riviera Maya meal wouldn’t be complete without fresh seafood and the Los Murales menu offers a delicious selection. Coconut shrimp is a popular option for the true taste of the Caribbean; tuna steak with crushed spice crust and tamarind sauce, snook fillet with three textures of garlic and jasmine rice, the catch of the day and superbly flavored local lobster cooked to order.
Los Murales is also famous for its juicy prime steaks with options including tender grilled beef fillet, rib-eye, t-bone and the tomahawk for two people. Meat lovers may also want to try the pistachio-crusted lamb chops and the pork bondiola.
Be sure to save space for a Los Murales dessert, flaming coffee and a glass of Xtabentún, the honey and aniseed flavored liqueur of the Yucatán.
Whatever you choose at Los Murales, it’s sure to be delicious. Order wine or your favorite cocktail and enjoy your meal as you listen to live guitar music.
The restaurant owes its name to the magnificent wall murals that are the focal point of the elegant setting. A collection of paintings by Cuban artist Arturo Montoto, are captured in glass tesserae mosaic tiles by the craftsmen at Venetian Mosaics of Mexico, the Perdomo Family workshop.
