Ceviche and Sushi now served all day at the Sand Dollar, The Royal Sands
Many Royal Resorts members and guests have already tried the Sand Dollar, the new terrace restaurant at The Royal Sands that opened earlier this year, and have enjoyed the ceviches and tostadas. In addition to the seafood ceviches, cocktails, tacos and tostadas, the Sand Dollar menu has been expanded to include freshly baked Argentinean empanadas and sushi, now available from 12 to 8 p.m. Be sure to try the tasty empanadas (turnovers), you can order the classic minced beef ones or go for the Biscayan-style tuna or a Mexican favorite, Poblano chili rajas or strips, sweet corn, onion and cheese, all are served with chimichurri sauce (assorted flavors).
After your meal, sip a signature Sand Dollar cocktail or indulge with fruit ice cream or freshly baked apple strudel and enjoy the view.The Sand Dollar is open daily on the terrace outside Sidelines Bar.
Teppanyaki Show Cooking Grill at La Palapa del Sol, The Royal Haciendas
In more Royal Resorts Restaurant news, La Palapa del Sol, the beachfront restaurant at The Royal Haciendas, has a delicious new dining option for members and guests to enjoy, a Teppanyaki show cooking grill on Monday and Friday. Watch the chef prepare fresh seafood, steaks and vegetables in true Teppanyaki style. The cost is $410 pesos per person. Drinks and tips are not included. Reservations are required.
There are two Teppanyaki grill tables, each one seating 10 people. You can make your reservation in La Palapa del Sol or by calling Ext. 173, starting at 11:30 a.m. There are four sittings to choose from: 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. You will be given a ticket with your name, villa number, number of people, date, reservation time and a confirmation number. Members and Members with the REFINE All-Inclusive package may make their reservation beforehand. Reservations for non-member REFINE All-Inclusive guests are accepted on the day. Due to the demand, there is no grace period for reservations so as not to delay the show for other diners. If diners arrive late they will find that their reservation has been cancelled. The Teppanyaki dinner is not suitable for diners who are allergic to gluten or seafood as all the food is prepared and cooked on the same table. In this case, the chef will not be able to prepare gluten or seafood-free dishes separately for diners. No children under the age of 12.
Monday night means International cuisine and Rodizio at La Veranda, The Royal Sands
International Night at La Veranda, The Royal Sands on Monday is a whirlwind tour of world cuisine. The buffet features chicken curry, pork, mussels in white wine sauce, beef bacon rolls and many other tempting dishes. Don’t miss the Rodizio, tender cuts of beef cooked and served Brazilian style.

Draft beer now on tap at The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander
In addition to your favorite bottled or canned beers, draft Mexican beer is now on tap at The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander. You can order it at the Tradewinds and Cayo Largo terrace bars, the pool bars and La Cabaña lobby bar.
