The toys donated by members, guests and team members over the holidays as part of the annual Royal Resorts Foundation Toy Drive will be given to the Ciudad de la Alegría to be distributed to children in Mayan communities in the Felipe Carrillo Puerto district on January 6, Día de Reyes or Kings Day.
Dia de Reyes is the day that children traditionally receive gifts and this year volunteers, some dressed as the Three Kings, will be giving toys, candies, sandwiches, sodas and slices of the rosca de reyes cake at Dia de Reyes parties in the villages. There will also be piñatas and plenty of fun for all ages.
We would like to thank all our members, guests and team members for their gifts and their generosity during the year. By supporting the Royal Resorts Foundation’s causes, you really are helping to change lives. The Foundation provides study scholarships for a class of 36 at Colegio Mano Amiga and sponsors life-changing physiotherapy for children with neurological and mobility illnesses. It finances vital breast cancer and prostate cancer screening programs for Royal Resorts staff and the Team Member Emergency Relief Fund offers help to those in need when facing serious illness or major surgery. It also gives an annual donation to Cancun NGO Amigos de Sian Ka’an to support conservation work and protect the fragile ecosystems and rare wildlife of the Mexican Caribbean and Yucatan.
