The number of female turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs has dwindled as the summer nesting season draws to a close for them. All that remains is for their eggs to hatch and the eternal cycle will be renewed. The 2024 tally of turtle nests in the corral at The Royal Sands stands at 219 with 24,330 eggs. The security team has already released 9,502 baby turtles to begin life at sea and thousands more will follow them in the weeks to come.
