Our first resort The Royal Cancun celebrated its 46th anniversary on June 1. A Cancun pioneer, it was one of the earliest resorts in Mexico’s first master-planned destination, welcoming members and guests in 1978 to a Caribbean paradise.

Since then, thousands of families have fallen in love with its peaceful bayside setting, child-friendly beach, Mexican-Mediterranean design, colorful gardens and welcoming ambiance, making it their home away from home.

Sail boating or paddle boarding on the bay, snorkeling in search of bejeweled reef fish and a kayak lagoon tour through the mangrove forest are a great way to spend a Royal Cancun morning. The hours go by as vacation pals exchange Mexican Caribbean stories poolside under the palms or sit on their villa terrace watching an endless parade of boats sail through the sparkling turquoise waters of the bay.

A daily activity program, a kids club, tennis courts, a fitness center and a day spa offering massages and more are some of the amenities on offer. The casual tropical ambiance, stunning Caribbean views and seafood and international fare at La Palapa make it a favorite and La Trattoria is an evening option for traditional Italian cuisine to share with family or friends.
