From tasty poolside lunch to showcasing traditional dishes from the Mexican kitchen, new theme nights and the unmissable Taco Day on March 31, there are plenty of dining treats in store for you at Royal Resorts this March.

Culinary Experiences by Royal Resorts

Our chefs have lined up a month of mouthwatering surprises for you as part of Culinary Experiences by Royal Resorts. Wherever you eat, ask your waiter about the specials. Start the day with traditional Mexican pastries and breakfast dishes including Spanish tortilla. The poolside bars and grills have a different lunch special for each day of the week. At The Royal Sands the selection includes a salmon and tuna poke bowl, char-grilled steak tacos, shrimp po’ boy sandwiches and paella. Sol and Luna Grill at The Royal Haciendas are serving up pulled pork sandwiches, fried fish, mezcal-grilled chicken and a seafood platter, among others.

Order the special cocktails at your resort during the month too for lunch or dinner.

Moving on to dinner, there are a la carte menus and theme nights ranging from Mexican, Italian, Asian, Prime Rib, Caribbean, BBQs and Lobster and Seafood during the week at the resort restaurants. Be sure to ask your waiter about the March chef’s specials at Hacienda Sisal, Captain’s Cove, El Conquistador, La Trattoria, Los Murales and Kinoko. La Palapa del Sol at The Royal Haciendas also has sweet delights such as a donut corner and gala chocolate bar.

There are also tasty tributes to certain dishes during the month. Start with Oreo Day on March 6 at La Veranda from 5 p.m., Tiramisu Day on March 21, Cheese Day on March 27 and the perfect finale is a celebration of Mexico’s favorite finger food with Taco Day on March 31. Some restaurants will also have special dishes, cakes or activities for Earth Hour on March 26.

Rock n Roll BBQ at The Royal Haciendas

There’s a new theme night to enjoy at The Royal Haciendas, a Rock n Roll BBQ on Friday with a show at 7 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Day

Celebrate all things Irish in the Royal Resorts restaurants and bars this March 17. There will be the traditional green beer, cocktails and some menu specials, all in shades of green, naturally.

March Madness

If you are going to be in Cancun or the Riviera Maya this month, don’t miss out on March Madness, with all the action from the NCAA College Basketball playoffs. All the games will be broadcast live at the Royal Resorts Bars: Sidelines at The Royal Sands, the Sports Bar at The Royal Cancun and La Rotonda at The Royal Haciendas.
