Mouthwatering traditional cuisine, margaritas and music, on September 15, celebrate Mexican Independence Night in Cancun at Royal Resorts. Here’s what’s in store.

 

Gran Salon at Hacienda Sisal

Celebrate Mexican Independence Night with a difference, a lucha libre wrestling show! Gran Salon at Hacienda Sisal is offering a delicious Mexican buffet featuring tacos and other traditional dishes, an open bar for margaritas and Mexican beers, sodas and aguas frescas or fruit flavored waters, live Mexican music and all the spectacle and show of lucha libre wrestling.

If you are interested in lucha libre and love the Mexican luchador masks, why not book your table at Gran Salon? The Independence Night event also includes a DJ, competitions and Mexican and tropical music for dancing. Cost: $850 pesos per adult, teens (13-17 years) $550 pesos, Children aged 9 to 12 years $350 pesos and children under the age of eight free. 7 p.m. to midnight.

Your own Taco Fest at Paco’s Tacos

For a casual Mexican Independence Night in Cancun supper, ask for the Paco’s Tacos menu in Cayo Largo at The Royal Islander. Order a margarita and get ready for your own Taco Fest! Open for lunch and dinner.

Open-air Mexican Fiesta, The Royal Haciendas

In a beautiful setting that evokes the haciendas of the Yucatan of yesteryear, The Royal Haciendas will be celebrating Mexican Independence on September 15 with an open-air fiesta (weather permitting). The Mexican evening on the terrace in Phase 2 of our Riviera Maya resort will feature a buffet of traditional national dishes, music and a rousing mariachi serenade.

Usually on a Sunday, La Palapa del Sol Brazilian Night will be offered on Saturday, September 14 at The Royal Haciendas for this occasion.
