At a ceremony held in the Ciudad de la Alegria on the outskirts of Cancun in May, representatives of the Royal Resorts Foundation presented the Director of the Don Bosco Youth Center with a check for $340,000 pesos, the proceeds from the Third Royal Resorts Foundation Race in February. The money will be used to build and equip a kitchen at the community center for vulnerable teenagers.
The Don Bosco Center provides a safe environment for young people to study, learn skills and attend workshops. Having a kitchen to provide them with nutritious meals will improve their overall health, attention span and academic performance.
