La Veranda at The Royal Sands is serving up a festive and traditional buffet for Mexican Independence Night on September 15. The dinner will take place al fresco in a poolside setting and a Mexican band will play live during the evening.

The array of main course dishes includes classics from the Mexican kitchen: chiles en nogada, chicken tamales, beef flautas, tostadas, enchiladas, quesadillas and chicken mole, among others. Make your own tacos with chicken, beef, chorizo or pork, lashings of guacamole, nopales, pico de gallo and spicy sauces. Try the tasty carnitas or barbacoa, tacos al pastor or pozole.

There’s a salad bar and even the dessert bar has a Mexican twist featuring caramel, buñuelos or fritters and traditional candies. Buen provecho!

There will be live music and traditional Mexican dances during dinner, Mexican games and plenty of festive décor in red, white and green.

Margaritas and sodas are included in the buffet rate. The Independence Night buffet at The Royal Sands in Cancun is available from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
