In more Cancun flight news for 2017, the regional and international flight network continues to expand. Southwest is now offering a daily flight from Fort Lauderdale to Cancun and may expand this to three flights a day in the winter, subject to demand. Mexican airline Interjet is now offering new flights linking Cancun and Mexico City with Toronto. The Cancun flights are on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. United has also announced a new winter service from Denver to Cozumel which will operate from December 23 to April 7, 2018.
Mexican airline Aeromar is making it easier for Cancun and Riviera Maya visitors to explore the wonders of the Maya World and the colonial city of Oaxaca, one of Mexico’s treasures and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are flights from Cancun to the colonial cities of Merida and Campeche and from Merida to Villahermosa, Palenque, Tuxtla Gutierrez in Chiapas (for the mountain city of San Cristobal de Las Casas) and Oaxaca.
