The 2013 turtle nesting season proved even more remarkable than 2012 and has broken all the records. The tally of nests stood at 822 with 99,280 eggs, and 89,314 baby turtles had been released to begin life at sea, an all-time high. Only a couple of hundred eggs remained to hatch in early December.

Formal record keeping began for the Royal Resorts turtle program in 1998 and in just 15 years 6,264 nests have been protected and 522,394 baby turtles set free.

We would like to thank all the staff, members and guests who participated in the 2013 turtle campaign and we look forward to the 2014 season.
