With a mission to give back to the community and help people in need, the Royal Resorts Foundation is launching a Giving Day campaign.
On December 2, Foundation volunteers will be visiting the El Porvenir shelter for women and children on the outskirts of Cancun to hand out clothing, cookies and grocery boxes. They’ll also be going to two local hospitals: the Cancun General Hospital and an IMSS clinic where they will spend time with people watching over their loved ones who are patients, and making their wait more comfortable with gifts of blankets and slippers.
If you are staying at one of the Royal Resorts and would like to participate in the Giving Tuesday campaign, here is what you can give:
How can you help?
• Donate clothing (new or in good condition)
• Blankets and slippers
• Groceries (canned foods, beans, rice, pasta and other packaged items, no perishable produce)
• Cookies
• Toys for the children at the shelter
Collection point: Reception in your resort, please ask for the Guest Services or Operations Manager
If you are interested in volunteering to help on Giving Day contact ssondon@royalresorts.com Ext. 65705 for more information.
If you are not in Cancun and would still like to support the campaign, why not make a donation to the Royal Resorts Foundation online at www.royalresortsfoundation.org
Now a global movement, #Giving Tuesday is a day for giving back to the community and reaching out to people battling illness, poverty and other social problems. The Royal Resorts Foundation invites members and guests to join Royal Resorts employees in support of a good cause.
