On warm, star-filled summer nights in the Mexican Caribbean the best place to be is outside and this is certainly the case at The Royal Haciendas, your Riviera Maya resort. Enjoy a cocktail on your villa terrace or by the beach at La Palapa del Sol and then decide whether to dine early, or later as is the custom in Mexico. Whatever you do, don’t miss the special summer event on Wednesday evening, week 30, 31 and 32.
Summer Show fun starts at 7 p.m. on the stage in Phase II at The Royal Haciendas with the following activities:
• 7 p.m. Mini disco
Activity staff and children show off their dance moves, contests and games (around 45 minutes)
• 7:45 p.m. Activity Staff introduce the show, make balloon figures and bracelets
• 8 p.m. Acrobatic Show
Includes acrobat dance routines, balancing acts, Chinese pole, juggling, fire breathing and more.
Year-round Activities at The Royal Haciendas
If you miss this summer show, don’t worry; there are evening events at The Royal Haciendas all year round. Featuring delicious cuisine and live entertainment, the Mexican Fiesta on Saturdays is a family favorite and there is a Mexican Craft Market at 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The Craft Market is followed by fun games and competitions, a puppet show for the children, a Mayan Fire Show, a Circus Acrobatics Show and the Drums, Wind and Fire performance.
On your next visit to The Royal Haciendas ask at the Activity Center for details of the evening events and the daily activity program for all ages. Games, sports and classes are complimentary although there is a small fee for materials used in arts and crafts workshops. Ask about special activities such as recycling art and the new bike and kayak tours on Thursdays. By signing up for them you are supporting the Royal Resorts Foundation.
The Royal Haciendas also has a separate Kids Club* offering supervised activities for children aged between 4 and 12 years. Fees apply for registering in the Kids Club but the use of the facility is included in the REFINE All-Inclusive package available at the resort.
