On March 29 at 8:30 p.m., Royal Resorts will participate in Earth Hour, the global campaign organized by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature or World Wildlife Fund) to draw attention to the effects of climate change and the urgent need to protect the one thing that unites us all, the Planet. This year, Spiderman is the Earth Hour ambassador and the official slogan is “Use your Power to Make Change a Reality”
Non-essential lights will be turned off around the resorts and members and guests are invited to join in by dimming the lights in their villas and attending special Earth Hour events.
Earth Hour at The Royal Haciendas
Several Earth Hour events have been organized at The Royal Haciendas and guests are invited to participate with their children. The line up is as follows:
• 7:30 p.m. Royal Resorts Foundation Earth Hour Event with Spiderman face painting, balloon twisting and the sale of 60+ cup cakes
All proceeds from this event will go to the Royal Resorts Foundation for conservation and its other charity causes.
• 7:45 p.m. Spectacular Spiderman Neon Light and Mayan Fire Show
• 8:30 p.m. Join us for the 60+ candle ceremony
All Earth Hour activities will take place on the Phase II Stage at The Royal Haciendas.
