The Royal Sands celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2015 and as it passes this important milestone, it is starting a Villa Renovation Program. The furniture and decor is being upgraded for the comfort of members and guests. This takes into account feedback received about the villa décor and furniture in recent years and the fact that the membership term at The Royal Sands is for 50 years.
The contemporary design features tones of beige, green and grey and accents of aqua, jade and turquoise. Both bedrooms will have new furniture, headboards, lamps and bedspreads. The living and dining area will be given a complete makeover with a new sofa and cushions, tables, lamps, curtains, art and a mirror. The kitchen cabinets and counter tops are also being resurfaced and the dining room chairs and living room wall cabinet will be repainted and restyled.
At least 80 villas will be refurnished each year subject to occupancy and the project should be completed by the end of 2019. A special FF& E Cash Reserve was created in The Royal Sands operating budget to pay for this project.
