Xcaret was one of the 10 locations around the world selected for the filming of Black Knight Decoded, a short movie featuring video, music, technology and a message of peace and unity for the world. What sets this film apart is that these locations were all filmed from outer space using Urthecast, the first ultra-high definition video system on board the International Space Station.
More than 1,000 volunteers gathered in Xcaret to participate in the sequence for the Mexican Caribbean.
British actor David Oyelowo (Selma, Lincoln, The Butler, Interstellar, Nightingale, Jurassic World, Jack Reacher, The Help, Spooks, Small Island) and Indian actress Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire, You will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, Trishna, Rise of the Planet of Apes, Jungle Book: Origins) star in the film, which also features music by Usher.
