The annual Advisory Council meetings were held in Cancun during October and representatives of the Advisory Boards for The Royal Sands, The Royal Islander, The Royal Haciendas and The Royal Caribbean met with Resort Management and Finance Department representatives to review the operating costs during 2015 and the proposed resort budgets and the Club Service Fees for 2016, which will remain the same as 2015.
This year’s resort operating budgets have been affected by the positive impact of the exchange rate. There were savings due to the fact that the majority of expenses are paid in pesos. Given the situation, Management proposed to leave the Club Service Fees unchanged for 2016, a motion that was unanimously approved by Advisory Council representatives.
The Club Service Fee for The Royal Cancun also remains the same.

In the weeks to come, the meeting reports and financial tables will be published in the Members Area of the Royal Resorts website www.royalresorts.com and in your annual magazine Royal Resorts Life which is published in December. A complimentary copy of the magazine will be waiting for you in your villa during your next visit and an online edition is also available.
New Amenity Package for the Villas
During the Advisory Council meetings, Management also presented a proposal to add an amenity package to the kitchens and bathrooms in all units at all the resorts, a motion that was unanimously approved by Council representatives.
Starting January 1, 2016, members will find a roll of paper towels, dishwashing liquid and a sponge in the kitchen, an invaluable addition for those who wash two or three dishes at a time and prefer not to use the dishwasher. There will also be a packet of regular and decaf coffee waiting for you as a welcome gift. In the bathroom, you’ll find bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion made from Yucatan honey.

Member Club Service Fees do not pay for expenses relating to the REFINE All-Inclusive Package
Additionally, the Club Service Fee that members pay does not cover costs associated with All-Inclusive guests staying at The Royal Sands, The Royal Cancun or The Royal Haciendas.
The REFINE All-Inclusive program has a separate operating budget and pays a resort fee of US$2.50 per All-Inclusive guest per day to Resort Operations for extra expenses generated by the program such as the evening turndown service and housekeeping service on Sundays, laundry (bathrobes, linens and towels) and the Kids Club. The resort also receives a Club Service Fee for the rental of each villa to cover the services included in the annual dues.
