Royal Resorts is a longtime supporter of community causes in the Cancun area and on this occasion it was able to help the Cancun Fire Department with a donation of equipment for one of the city’s fire stations.
The donation consisted of fridges, a microwave oven, beds, mattresses and tableware for ten people that had been replaced in villas but were still in good condition. The appliances will be used to equip the Base 8 Fire Station in the Alfredo V. Bonfil district on the outskirts of the city. Firemen manning the station will now be able to store and prepare food and have somewhere to rest as they keep watch over the area.
Royal Resorts is also a regular donor to the Red Cross, local conservation group Amigos de Sian Ka’an A.C., Grupo Desafio de Quintana Roo A.C. Cancer Relief and the Ciudad de la Alegria A.C. (City of Joy) community center on the outskirts of Cancun. Additionally, over the years it has supported orphanages; help centers for the victims of domestic violence and charities for children with physical and mental challenges.
Through the Royal Resorts Foundation (Fundacion Royal Resorts A.C.) it is seeking more ways to give back to society by promoting health and education, contributing to sustainable development in Quintana Roo, and by protecting wildlife.
