In more golf news, members of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) have presented the State of Quintana Roo with the award as Best Golf Destination in Latin America and the Caribbean. State Secretary for Tourism Laura Fernandez received the accolade at the Golf Travel Mart in Milan, Italy in October.
The Mexican Caribbean has 14 championship 18-hole golf courses designed by PGA golf legends such as Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus and Nick Price and more are slated to open in the years to come.
